Next Generation self-consumption aid

In June 2021, the Government of Spain approved a series of aids for the installation of solar panels, which come to promote self-consumption, together with the subsidies offered by the city councils of each municipality.

It is 660 million euros that can be increased to 1,320 million if the autonomous communities exhaust the sums allocated. Grants will be awarded in order of presentation until they run out.

Requirements for residential self-consumption aid:

• The installation invoice is dated after June 30, 2021.
• It is necessary to be able to measure production and consumption. For this, it is essential to have a smart meter.
• The production of the system may exceed, at most, 25% of the annual consumption.
• The batteries, at most, may have twice the capacity of the power of the solar inverter. That is to say that for a 3 kWn inverter, a maximum of 6 kWh battery can be installed.

If all these conditions are met, you can opt for these government aids for the installation of solar panels for self-consumption.

How much can you get?

In the case of residential installations with a power of less than 10kWp, the amounts are €600 per kWp of the installation and €490 per kWh in the battery. And the installations greater than 10kWp, the aid ranges between €450 and €300 per installed kWp.
